Privacy
This site has no accounts, no forms and no comments. Nothing you type or tap here is sent to us.
Use my location
The "Use my location" button asks your browser for your position only when you tap it, never when a page loads. Your browser finds the nearest ZIP center from files it downloads from this site, and then shows drive times for that ZIP. Your coordinates and your ZIP stay in your browser: no request URL, header or analytics event carries a latitude, longitude or ZIP. The only requests are fetches of fixed file names from this site, the same files a typed ZIP downloads.
What is kept in your browser
Two items live in your browser's local storage on this site: the springs you saved with "Save to my trip" (phs-trip-v1) and the last ZIP you entered (phs-from-v1). They never leave your browser. If your browser blocks storage, the pages still work and nothing is remembered.
Analytics
On the live site we measure which pages and sections are read with Google Analytics. For visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. Elsewhere they are allowed by default. There is no cookie banner because the site is US-only. Events carry the page type and section, never a ZIP or a position.
